In America and other developed parts of the world where an education is mandated, it can be easy to forget that what a gift we have been given. Knowledge changes everything: the way we view the world and each other. Education is crucial to progress and to the free flow of ideas. it is a noble pursuit that we as readers take part in every time we pick up a book and learn something that we did not know before.

In some parts of the world, including in devolved countries, the education system is sub-par and children are unable to get the resources they need to grow as intellectuals or be successful at a highly proficient level.
